The upcoming week’s schedule of Community Board 1 committee meetings is below. Unless otherwise noted, all committee meetings are held at the board office located at 49 Chambers St., Room 709.
On Mon. May 9, the Nominating Committee will meet at 6 p.m. to select a committee chairperson; to identify candidates for vacated chairperson positions; and to review election procedures.
On Tues. May 10, the Seaport/Civic Center Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. to discuss and draft the following resolutions: the Downtown Alliance Fulton/John St. corridor transportation study; a new sidewalk café application for Alba for 18 tables and 36 seats at 10 Reade St.; a new sidewalk café application for Corte Café LLC for 6 tables and 12 seats at 2 Lafayette St.; and a proposed Friday Greenmarket on Cliff St. between Fulton and Beekman Sts. The committee will also hear a presentation by the Seaport Coalition about a residential parking plan for the Seaport area; and discuss the re-opening of closed portions of City Hall Park.
On Wed. May 11, the Executive Committee will meet at 6 p.m. The agenda is to be determined.
On Thurs. May 12 the Landmarks Committee will meet at 6 p.m. to discuss and draft the following resolutions: an application for the installation of rooftop garden at 23 Wall St.; an application for the installation of a transformer vault and resetting of granite sidewalk slabs at 143 Franklin St.; an application for a revised, reduced roof top addition at 157 Hudson St.; and an application to modify and legalize storefront facades at 221-223 Broadway, 5-7 White St.
