Doris Diether decodes zoning in five sessions

Doris Diether, zoning consultant and former Community Board 2 Zoning Committee vice chairperson, will give a course, “Decoding Zoning NYC,” for five Wednesday sessions from April 2 to April 30, at the CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Ave. at 34th St.

The course of lectures from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. will cover different zoning districts and what they permit and the difference between zoning and landmarking. Cost of the entire course is $135 and includes: “Overview of Zoning, Past and Present,” “Basic Zoning Principles,” “Uses and Signs: Learning the Regulations,” “City Planning Commission & Board of Standards and Appeals” and “Department of Buildings-Agency Interaction and Public Involvement.”
