Intergenerational and the producers have reached out to the Chelsea community for visual and performance artists. The opening reception on Friday evening will include theatrical and musical performances, an opportunity to browse the gallery and refreshments. Saturday’s program includes Origami and Haiku workshops and a dance performance. New this year is a poetry compilation featuring works by local poets and a photographic Power Point show. Canoe CanoeA wild salmon feast, giant canoes, and a unique historical reenactment of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Wed. & Thurs., May 30 & 31 from 5-9pm. Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Block PartyEvent celebrates the two cultures, Chinese and Eastern European Jewish, which make the Eldridge Street Synagogue’s block so unique.
