16th Annual Holiday Tree LightingCelebrate the lighting of the live evergreen tree that the Tompkins Square Park Neighborhood Coalition donated to the park in celebration of the East Village neighborhood and in remembrance of the community’s many neighbors who have been lost to AIDS. Christmas Party in the ParkThe Friends of Washington Market Park host their annual Christmas Party. Galleries of the Lower East SideWalter O’Neill will lead a walking tour to several contemporary art galleries in the Lower East Side in conjunction with The Educational Alliance’s new exhibit featuring a selection of artwork from these galleries.
