Many of us do not think enough about how much there is be thankful for, so we asked the people here in the Community Media family to tell us some of the things they are grateful for this Thanksgiving:
I’m happy my honey bunny is still with me and for many more years to come!!!!
Personally, I am thankful for my family and friends, they are for real. Also, I am thankful for the job I have, to have a boss that believes in your abilities. Now that’s saying something!
As a Minnesota Vikings fan, I never imagined I would utter the following words: This year, I am thankful for Brett Favre.
I am extremely thankful that God gave me my mom back. She is all I have left.
I’m thankful for having a healthy newborn niece and nephew.

I am thankful for: my job, my health, and the fact that this year New York City finally started to feel like home.
I am thankful for my wife’s and my baby who is expected to be born in six weeks or so! Someone to love and who loves me, and yes, health, family, friends and liberty. It’s also nice to have selected a car seat, stroller and to have pretty much decided on names for him or her. (We’ll have what we’ll need to leave the hospital.)

I’m grateful for loving friends and family, and a relatively healthy mind and body with which to enjoy them. Losing many friends during the death-sentence years of AIDS, I feel privileged to carry on the fight for equality in their honor.
My family is in good health. For the most part in the United States, life is still good. We live in a more peaceful country and at a higher level than most countries in the world.
I’m thankful for all the superheroes in my life; my family, friends and colleagues.
In this economy, I am happy to have a job that I love, where I feel that what I do matters. I’m happy that we cover a truly unique part of the world that has such dynamic, inspiring and savvy people and such interesting issues.
I am thankful to live in a time during which the world seems to be reinventing itself and evolving so quickly. I am thankful to work where that kind of change is a source of measured excitement and not a cause for alarm and fear: while other journalistic enterprises are so challenged or were shuttered in 2009 we have a much about which we can be thankful. On a personal front, I am also thankful that I have such a supportive and loving family.

I’m thankful for opportunity, for risk, for love, for safety, for being.
