The Greenwich Village Little League held its opening day ceremonies on Pier 40 at W. Houston St. on Saturday. Assemblymember Deborah Glick, right, had the honors of throwing out the first pitch of the season. Other notable figures at the not-to-be-missed community event included Borough President Scott Stringer, Congressmember Anthony Weiner, Community Board 2 Chairperson Brad Hoylman and Mr. Met. The league, which draws from the West Side community between 59th and Canal Sts., has 800 players ages 5 to 16 and fields 60 teams.
