A man with a knife allegedly threatened workers at Sal’s Pizzeria on Avenue A at St. Mark’s Pl. early last Thursday morning after arguing with them. According to a witness, the man was told he had to buy something first before using the bathroom. He reportedly bought a slice but an argument broke out as he left. He allegedly went and got a knife and came back as if to attack the pizzeria workers, who are Mexican. Other Mexican workers from nearby stores and restaurants rushed to help out and together subdued the man, holding him for arrest by police.
