A cab crashed on St. Mark’s Pl., between Second and Third Aves., around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, Jan. 25, coming dangerously close to plowing into a crowd standing outside Kenka, a Japanese restaurant, at 25 St. Mark’s Pl. The Department of Transportation is studying the area just to the west for traffic improvements, saying the intersections along Third and Fourth Aves. and Lafayette St. are sites of frequent accidents between cars, bicycles and pedestrians.
