Homeless services worker Tasered teen daughter, source says

A New York City Department of Homeless Services employee has been arrested in connection with assaulting his teenage daughter, authorities said.

Gilberto Romero, 39, was charged with assault and menacing following his arrest related to a family dispute, police said.

According to a law enforcement official, Romero is accused of Tasering his 15-year-old daughter.

Police said the alleged assault happened on Thursday around 11:45 a.m.

A spokesperson for the homeless services agency said the department could not comment on the case.

“Due to a pending investigation, we are precluded from commenting on this matter. However, are concerned by these troubling allegations,” the spokesperson said.
