Michael Lopez, a hopeful Democratic primary candidate for the Second City Council District, and his attorney Sara Steiner went over his petition signatures at the Board of Elections last Thursday. The Coalition for a District Alternative, the organization supporting Rosie Mendez’s candidacy, has challenged the petitions of Lopez and another candidate, Mildred Martinez. The challenges will be resolved in court.
