SLAUGHTERING PUBLIC DEMONS Los Angeles based performer Paul Outlaw, seen above wielding two mighty weapons, dissects the statements of Nat Turner & Jeffrey Dahmer in “Berserker,” his one man show running from August 14 through 20 at The Play Room. Outlaw combines excerpts from “Confessions of Nat Turner,” from the 19th Century and transcripts of statements from Dahmer in this show that is a “hilariously unsettling look into America’s ‘heart of darkness’ and our national obsessions with race, sex and violence.” The show is part of the New York International Fringe Festival. The Play Room is located at 440 Lafayette Street on the 3rd floor and can be reached by calling 212-279-4488. Tickets for the play are $15.
