Making note of new memory center

A new nonprofit center for people with memory disorders and their families has opened in Chelsea offering educational programs, social services and creative recreational therapies. The AFA Leeza’s Place, 322 Eighth Ave. at 26th St., is the first such center established by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America and the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation.
