A man was arrested for shooting two people, one fatally, at a housing development in the East Village in October.
Lindell Cox, 31, was arrested on Nov. 6 and charged with murder.
According to police, at 7:34 p.m. on Oct. 27 officers responded to a 911 call of shots fired inside 635 East 12 Street, part of the Campos Plaza NYCHA Development. When they arrived, officers found 21-year-old Jaden Stokes, a resident of the building, with a gunshot wound to his torso. A 24-year-old man was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Both victims were taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where Stokes was pronounced dead. The 24-year-old victim was listed in stable condition following the shooting.
