At the 9th St. Community Garden, on the east side of Avenue C between Ninth and 10th Sts., Kathleen White’s peephole dioramas are offering passersby a chance to peer into a wondrous world of cartoon pop-up characters. The scenes in the six birdhouse-sized dioramas range from a babushka scolding a bush to a hipster listening to a pipe and a frog sitting contentedly in a well. White’s dioramas will remain up through Oct. 15.
