From light sabers to llamas, and Flavor Flav look-alikes to Egyptian sun goddesses, the costumes, as always, were creative at last Saturday’s Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. Although a heavy downpour fell during the middle of the two-hour event, people kept in good spirits (pun intended). Many spectators — and some marchers — came prepared with umbrellas, but most in the procession just got soaked. Luckily, it wasn’t too cold. There appeared to be fewer floats this year, which reportedly was chalked up to the economy; but there was no lack of enthusiasm.
