The Public School Parent Advocacy Committee and Community Board 2 invite all parents, children and neighborhood residents to join local elected officials for a rally to preserve 75 Morton St. as a new middle school on Wed., Aug. 6, at 5:30 p.m., at 75 Morton St., between Hudson and Greenwich Sts. The rally will be held rain or shine.
The building at 75 Morton St. is state owned and is at risk of being sold to the highest bidder by the Empire State Development Corporation. Local parents, school advocates, C.B. 2 and politicians advocate the building being converted to a school to alleviate the school district’s overcrowding problem.
