Sailing in the fast lane

Talk about having it all! Claudia Wieland gave birth on May 15 and on Monday she was the winning skipper in the Manhattan Sailing Club’s Women’s Regatta in Lower Manhattan’s harbor. Danielle Gallo finished second and Jackie Swensen, the event’s organizer, finished third. Many of the sailors also compete regularly with men in the club’s Tuesday and Wednesday night races from North Cove marina.
