Last Friday, just before 4 p.m., a scaffold over the driveway of 1 Washington Sq. Village on W. Third St. near LaGuardia Pl. partially collapsed when it was hit by a delivery truck trying to enter the complex. Josh Taylor, a New York University spokesperson, said there were no injuries in the incident. The scaffolding is up for facade work on the buildings, Taylor said. N.Y.U. owns Washington Sq. Village, which mainly houses university faculty, as well as other individuals affiliated and some not affiliated with the university.
