Svetlana Pankratova, world record holder for woman with the longest legs — measuring 4 feet, 4 inches — shaved her lengthy limbs for a good cause last Thursday at Kiehl’s at Third Ave. and 13th St. As Pankratova demonstrated Kiehl’s “Close Shaverettes” Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream — a long product name to go with her long legs — high schoolers from the Lower Eastside Girls Club counted the shave strokes. Kiehl’s will donate $44 — remember, her legs are 4’4”? — to the Girls Club for each stroke. Kiehl’s, which has been around since 1851, also held a contest in which customers could guess how long it takes Pankratova to shave her legs. Through March 15, visitors to Kiehl’s stores and Kiehls.com could submit their guesses down to the second, and the customer in each Kiehl’s store and on Kiehls.com who comes closest to the exact answer will win a year’s worth of “Close Shaverettes” Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream.
