As spring arrives in New York, vendors in Chinatown will take their wares to the streets. On April 22 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., over 50 of Chinatown’s restaurants, tea houses, bakeries and specialty food shops will be offering $1 and $2 dishes in the 4th Taste of Chinatown. Booths will be set up in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown, on Mott, Bayard, Mulberry, Baxter, Doyers, Pell and Mosco Sts.
In addition to food, entertainment and children’s activities will be offered, not least of which are the votes for Best of the Taste of Chinatown and the Wonton Food Fortune Cookie Writing Contest. Ten winners of the latter competition will receive prizes and their words of wisdom will be featured in fortune cookies. For complete information, go to www.tasteofchinatown.com.
