Tompkins Square carolers have a grand ‘olde’ time

The 17th Annual Tompkins Square tree lighting filled the East Village park with festive yuletide atmosphere on Sunday afternoon. The Carolers of Olde New York from Theater for the New City performed, above, with Crystal Field, the theater’s director, front row, second from right. There was more musical entertainment, plus refreshments from Veselka restaurant and Life Cafe. The event was co-hosted by the East Village Parks Conservancy and the Third Street Music School Settlement.
