Tsunami survivor

Petra Nemcova, the supermodel who lost her boyfriend in Thailand in the Indian Ocean tsunami two years ago, was in Tompkins Square Park last week for a photo shoot, and looked to be doing well. Nemcova survived the tidal waves by clinging to the top of a palm tree for eight hours, while in excruciating pain with a broken pelvis and having watched her boyfriend swept out to sea.
