‘Two wrongs don’t make a right,’ Will’s friends cry

Friends of slain Indymedia journalist and East Village activist Brad Will gathered outside the Mexican Consultate on E. 39th St. on Monday to protest what they called the “railroading” of Oaxaca activist Juan Manuel Martinez Moreno in Will’s 2006 murder. Will’s friends and family say the true killer was doubtless among the Mexican government officials who were videotaped and photographed openly firing on protesters, including Will, who was 36. The U.S. government has demanded that a real investigation be done into Will’s death, but his friends and family say the Mexican judicial system is instead pursing a “bogus case” against Moreno.
