Spied outside a hamburger joint in Hoboken, N.J., was this sign hawking old Villagers. It turns out the seller is John Heliker, a Hoboken resident who worked for 26 years at Uplift Lighting, the former lighting store at Christopher and Hudson Sts. owned by Randy Wicker, the gay cloning advocate. “I’m out of work, so I’m trying to do whatever,” said Heliker. “I found them somewhere, I don’t even know where,” he said of the vintage Villagers. “The interesting history pages are there — the middle pages are gone.”
