Leonard Walsh, senior executive of St. Vincent’s Hospital Midtown (formerly St. Clare’s Hospital), was named executive director of St. Vincent’s Hospital in the Village and will continue as senior executive of the Midtown hospital.
The Sept. 26 appointment was made after St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers conducted a national search for candidates, according to Richard Boyle, interim chief executive officer of the St. Vincent’s system.
Walsh was vice president of clinical and ambulatory care services at St. Vincent’s in the Village prior to his post at St. Vincent’s Midtown. He also had been director of the ambulatory care network at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and previously served in senior positions at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
