Neighborhood zombies, some with pierced tongues, showed their pride on Oct. 26, World Zombie Day. Taking part in the New York City Zombie Crawl, about 100 local living dead started out at Beauty Bar on E. 14th St., then walked, staggered — and, yes, in some cases, crawled — to Union Square, while trying not to drop limbs along the way. Zombies and thousands of others will be in action at the 35th Annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade on Fri., Oct. 31. For all those in costume wanting to march, lineup is on Sixth Ave. south of Spring St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Starting at 7 p.m., the route will wend up Sixth Ave. to 23rd St. Since this is the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video, the parade will feature the “Thriller” dance performed live.
