The Fire Department battled a blaze that ripped through a Brooklyn building early Monday morning.

At 2:32 a.m. on Feb. 28, FDNY personnel responded to a call regarding a fire at 1569 East New York Avenue, which housed Golden Deli and multiple apartments. Firefighters began to knock down the main body of the fire, located on the first floor, with three hose-lines.

The fire spread to the second and third floors through the wall voids, leading firefighters to run another hose that went over the roof of a nearby car. The fire was brought under control at 3:41 a.m.

One civilian was treated at the scene for their injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
