Two sought for months-long robbery pattern throughout the Bronx and Manhattan

Cops are looking for a duo who are behind a string of violent robberies in the Bronx and Manhattan dating back to last summer.

Police said the pattern began at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, 2019, when a 40-year-old delivery man was making was outside of a building on Sedgwick Avenue near West 197th Street.

That’s where two unknown men hit him with an unknown object. Cops said the suspects then stole a bag of food and fled the location in an unknown direction.

EMS responded to the location but the victim refused medical attention at the scene.

After a two-month lull, authorities said, the crooks resumed their misdeeds on Nov. 20, 2019. At 1 p.m. that day, a delivery man was in the vicinity of Broome Street and Clinton Street when he was approached by the crooks, who pulled out a knife.

Law enforcement sources said the suspects then took the victim’s cellphone, a bag of food and $200 in cash before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

Three days later, cops reported, the crooks attacked a 43-year-old man in the vicinity of 5th Avenue and West 141st Street at 6:30 p.m.

After punching the victim multiple times in the face, authorities said, the thieves took $500 from him and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained lacerations and swelling to the face and was taken to NYC Health + Hospital/Harlem for treatment.

The crooks struck again on Dec. 3, 2019. At 10:40 a.m. that day, a 40-year-old man was in the vicinity of East 98th Street and Third Avenue when the the suspects tackled him to the ground.

Police said the perpetrators attempted to take the victim’s property, but were ultimately unsuccessful and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured.

Weeks later, on Dec. 22, 2019, a 49-year-old man was in front of a residential building on Old Broadway near West 133rd Street when he was punched in the face by the crooks, who then proceeded to take the victim’s cellphone and $100 in cash. The pair fled the location in an unknown direction. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Finally, at 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 27, a 51-year-old man was attacked by the crooks in the vicinity of East 98th Street and Third Avenue. Cops said they punched victim in the face and kicked him the head before taking the victim’s wallet, which contained credit cards, a driver’s license, and $100. 

The crooks fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained lacerations to the face and was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Metropolitan for treatment.

On Jan. 7, the NYPD released photos of the suspects taken from surveillance footage during the fifth incident.
