The New York Jets seek a fourth win in the 2025 NFL season in a divisional matchup against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon. New York stunned the Atlanta Falcons thanks to Nick Folk’s game-winning 56-yard field goal in Week 13 to improve to 3-9. The Jets were the last team to secure an NFL win this season, which didn’t come until a 39-38 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8

Miami enters the road contest with a 5-7 record with playoff hopes dangling by a thread in a murky American Football  Conference (AFC) playoff picture. The Dolphins have won three straight games to keep those playoff dreams alive after a disastrous 1-6 start to the 2025 campaign.

Week 14: Miami Dolphins (5-7) @ New York Jets (3-9)

Kick Off: 1:00 p.m. ET  (Sun., 12/07/25)

Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey)

New York retains its plus .500 record against the spread and over-under lines as the Jets hold a 7-5 record against both betting metrics entering Week 14. New York’s record against the moneyline still matches its real-world NFL record at 3-9. Miami arrives with a 6-6 record against the spread and a 5-7 mark against the moneyline and over-under figures in 2025.

Miami arrives as a slim road favorite with a 54% projection to win on Sunday, according to ESPN Analytics.

Best Bet: Breece Hall 100+ rushing yards

Breece Hall recorded 81 yards on 14 carries in a 27-21 road loss in Miami in Week 4. The 24-year-old running back has been inconsistent this season with an equal number of games with less than 50 yards (three games) and 100+ yard rushing days (also three contests). However, it hasn’t been entirely his fault. The knee injury to Garrett Wilson has allowed opposing defensive coordinators to shift more attention to slowing down Hall as he has become the main focal point of the Jets offense.

Hall has a good matchup against Miami’s 28th-ranked rushing defense, allowing 137.5 yards per game. Look for the Jets back to break free and eclipse his season-high 35-yard dash in Week 14 against a struggling rushing defense in Miami.

While Aaron Glenn is coaching for victories, the focus for the remainder of the 2025 season is to set up New York for success in 2026 and beyond. Hall will still get his touches in Week 14, which should go a long way towards a potential successful result for New York. But stealing momentum from a surging Dolphins club with their playoff heartbeat barely beeping is going to be a tough task this weekend in northern New Jersey.
