Tugboat Capt. Brian Dubreuil left the Rockaway ferry terminal around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, to see if NYC Ferry boats could make it through the water. The city has hired Dubreuil’s employer, Vinik Marine, to help clear the waterways of large sheets of ice to make routes passable for ferry service.
