Police in Brooklyn are on the hunt for the suspect who shot a man in broad daylight on Friday afternoon.

The NYPD released images and video of the gunman behind the brazen shooting that occurred in front of an apartment building at 1517 Park Place in Weeksville at about 4:15 p.m. on June 6.

According to law enforcement sources, the suspect approached the victim, a 23-year-old man, as he exited the location. The gunman then pulled out a firearm and began pulling the trigger multiple times.

Cops said the 23-year-old man was struck in the foot, arm and groin area.

After rattling off the shots, police reported, the perpetrator fled the location on foot heading westbound on Park Place.

Officers from the 77th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Paramedics rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment of what police described as serious physical injuries; he was listed in stable condition.

Through June 1, the 77th Precinct reported four shootings year-to-date, half the total tallied at the same point in 2024.

The video police provided shows the suspect walking fast along Park Place and making a motion toward his waistband. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a blue-and-white sweater, blue jeans and white-and-gray sneakers.
