Bring on the hot dogs, the fireworks and the red, white and blue — Independence Day is here and there’s no shortage of places where you can celebrate.
As America rings in its 243rd year, New Yorkers will party on rooftops, aboard boats, at shows or enjoy the night air near the East River, where the Macy’s fireworks are set off.
Below, we’ve picked notable celebrations around the city to help you plan your night.
Manhattan
The New-York Historical Society

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Explore Geroge Washington’s encampment in the museum’s outdoor courtyard, where an impersonator will explain daily life in the Continental Army (from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), see army regiments do drills (noon, 1 and 2 p.m.), march with fife and drum musicians (every 15 minutes between 11:15 and 3 p.m.) and hear a live reading from a John Adams impersonator (noon, 1 and 2 p.m.). You can also take a self-guided tour in the galleries, kids can take part in a scavenger hunt and decorate their own tricorn hat. (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) There will be hot dogs and a sweet treat on the second floor (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), a theatrical performance about Deborah Sampson who pretended to be a man to fight in the war (12:30 p.m.), and more. Admission is free for kids and $22 for adults.
South Street Heliport

Front Row Fireworks returns with an exclusive fireworks viewing experience right on the East River. This is an all-ages event, with live DJ performances, barbecue and drinks for purchase and more. Tickets are $30-$60.
One World Observatory

8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Watch the fireworks and celebrate America’s birthday from 1,776 feet above Manhattan at the One World Observatory. You’ll have 360-degree views of the city as you get access to festivities on the 100th floor of One World Trade, including an open bar, All-American foods like hot dogs, and more. Tickets are $75-$325.
Industry Kitchen

7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Eat until your belly is full at this premium open bar and buffet just steps from the East River’s edge. With indoor and outdoor seating, Industry Kitchen has unobstructed views of the fireworks with floor-to-ceiling windows. Seating opens early at 5 p.m. with a cash bar. The all-inclusive event begins at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $273.
Magic Hour Rooftop

3 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Start your Independence Day fun with a festival-style party with dancing, music by special guest DJs and playing on the rooftop’s "urban amusement park" that has gardens, life-size animals and mini-golf, and enjoy an hourlong vodka bar. The party really goes for 12 hours. Tickets start at $15.
Freedom Fest at Pier 15

Astoria is celebrating with its own fireworks show on June 27 with a spectacular by Grucci fireworks that will be preceded by live music from the Queens Symphony Orchestra. It’s free to attend.

Head to the market, just one block behind the Pepsi-Cola sign, where you’ll find a large selection of food and vendors and an all-Queens beer garden. Catch the fireworks from there. Free to attend.
TWA Hotel’s Pool Bar
JFK Airport
4 to 8 p.m.
If you have to travel on the Fourth of July, it doesn’t have to be a total bummer. The new TWA Hotel is hosting a pool party and backyard barbecue with Aviation Gin. Guests will get two free samples of gin cocktails and have access to burgers, hot dogs, ice cream and more. The pool will be open all day with pool floaties and cornhole nearby. Admission is free.
Staten Island

Celebrate America’s independence for three days at Empire Outlets, which will be hosting a slew of activities including live music, street performers, tie-dye workshops, sidewalk chalk art, face painting, sand castle building and an outdoor screening of "Independence Day."
