Police investigate shooting that left a man dead in the Bronx

Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot in the Bronx on Sunday night.

Authorities say that at 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 19, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot on Creston Avenue near E 182nd Street. Upon their arrival, officers found a 23-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to his head and torso.

EMS rushed the victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he ultimately died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
