A man was fatally gunned down on a Brooklyn street during the early hours of Sunday, police said.
According to law enforcement sources, several gunshots triggered ShotSpotter technically in Cypress Hills at around 2:28 a.m. Cops from the 75th precinct rushed to 24 Pine Street, where they discovered a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the left shoulder lying on the sidewalk.
EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, where he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
Crime scene investigators were still probing the scene of the slaying at dawn on Aug. 10, poring over ballistic evidence. A motive for the killing has yet to be established.
Police did not have a description of the perpetrator at the time of publication. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
This marks the ninth murder in the confines of the 75 precinct in 2025, compared to seven during the same time last year.
