Annual family fair is largest yet

This year, the 10th annual Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair added four blocks to its footprint along Greenwich Street. That meant four blocks of additional crazy costumes, live entertainment, giant balloons and tasty treats. It also meant four blocks more of tiny tikes having what appeared to be the time of their lives.

Festival organizers and the NYPD estimated that roughly 300,000 attended the signature event. The fair, which also featured the annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day, provided kids the chance to shoot hoops, kick soccer balls, slap hockey pucks and toss the pigskin with representatives from all of the major New York sports teams. And there were featured performances by Broadway acts like the Million Dollar Quartet.
