“Freaky Fridge,” right, and his friend “Guillo” posed for a photo in front of Clayton Patterson’s Essex St. door, a.k.a. the “Wall of Fame,” in 1995, at left, and again in 2010, at right. They wanted Patterson to take their photo, the documentarian explained, so that they could then be in the “Hall of Fame,” his window, in which he would hang the latest snaps of local Lower East Side kids and characters. “Fridge” recently had an acting role in the independent movie “Dirty Old Town,” in which he rides his low-rider-style bicycle with an iPod speaker connection mounted on the rear blaring tunes.
