Police are on the hunt for a mask-wearing perp who allegedly gunned down a man in front of a moped and scooter dealership in the Bronx on Tuesday.
According to law enforcement sources, just after 11 p.m. on Sept. 10, officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a man shot at 6 East Burnside Ave., where Speed Racer Imports is located, in University Heights.
When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Juan Lluverez of 13 West 183rd St. in the Bronx, bleeding from gunshots to his abdomen and leg.
EMS responded to the scene and rushed Lluverez to Saint Barnabas where he was later pronounced dead.
Preliminary police reports say a man was seen wearing a ski mask and riding a bike southbound on Jerome Avenue. Sources said the bicyclist whipped out a gun and fired three shots toward Lluverez, missing his target once, before fleeing eastbound on East Burnside Avenue.
Police do not yet have information on a possible motive. Officers found three shell casings at the shooting scene.
No arrests have been made so far in the ongoing investigation. Police describe the suspect as last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask.
