Police arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting that claimed a man’s life at a Brooklyn housing development last month.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call regarding shots fired in from of the Brownsville NYCHA development, located at 350 Blake Avenue, at 9:13 p.m. on July 12. Upon their arrival, officers found 26-year-old resident Tyrie McLaughlin unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Paramedics rushed McLaughlin to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
On Aug. 10, police arrested 25-year-old Shakur Bartley in connection to the shooting. he was charged with murder and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
