The Downtown United Soccer Club Eight-years-old-and-under (U8) Botafogo team came in first place at the Soccer Coliseum at the Teaneck Armory Tournament on Sat., Jan. 17. The DUSC squad defeated club teams from Ramapo Valley, 6-0, and Armonk, 8-0, tied Silver Lake Horizon, 3-3, won their semifinal over Fort Lee, 2-0, and then knocked off the Hackensack Royals in the final, 4-2. The DUSC team takes its name from one of the most storied Rio de Janeiro soccer teams.
