Gunfire broke out in Manhattan and the Bronx on Thursday, leaving two men dead and another injured in separate incidents.
At 4:06 p.m. on Dec. 15, officers from the 34th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot at 144 Nagle Avenue in Washington Heights. Upon their arrival, police found 30-year-old Tykeem Berry with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Berry was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Later that night at 10:02 p.m., officers in the Bronx’s 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in front of 189 Burnside Avenue. Upon their arrival, cops found two men who had been shot: a 32-year-old man who had been shot in the head, and a 27-year-old man who had been shot in the groin.
Both men were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where the 32-year-old man was pronounced dead — his identity is being withheld pending family notification. The 27-year-old man is listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made in either incident. The investigations remain ongoing.
