Arnold the pit bull was found tethered to a Bronx park bench on a chilly day in December, underweight and suffering from head wounds and a heart condition.
But the 2 1/2-year-old boy didn’t give up, and now he’s ready for a loving home.
Arnold was found on Dec. 19, 2015, in the Williamsbridge Oval by someone who took him home for the night. The next day he was turned over to the ASPCA and police.
After it was discovered that Arnold had a heart murmur, he was diagnosed with valvular pulmonic stenosis, which surgery improved.
