Life Time is picking up the pace.

On Monday, Life Time announced the record-breaking news that it would be live streaming over 1,000 group fitness classes per week. This number is more than any other fitness provider in the industry. These daily live streams include yoga, cycle, and strength/cardio classes.

“Life Time is changing the industry with our live streaming model—no one can compete with the sheer volume of classes and world-class instructors we’re bringing to our members,” says Life Time Chairman, CEO and Founder Bahram Akradi.

Life Time has been a key player in the fitness industry for around 30 years. With over 150 physical health clubs across America, Life Time’s $15-per-month subscription membership provides guests with custom fitness programs, access to on-demand and live-streamed classes, and individual virtual training.

The daily classes, now available to all Life Time club access members, come from over 20 destinations across the country. Life Time plans to open up nine new destinations in 2021– two of which are in New York City.

Life Time Studio Battery Park will be directly opposite the New York Harbor and Battery Park. The studio will offer 25 classes per week. Virtual training and class options will be made available as well, along with other measures to keep members safe during the pandemic. The club opening date has yet to be announced, but on the website is now listed as “coming soon.”

Arriving in the spring of this year, Life Time NoHo will take its place in Cooper Square. The studio will offer more than 50 classes weekly. Members will have access to an expansive fitness floor as well as a cedarwood sauna.

The Noho and Battery Park locations will join the already-open Life Time Sky (Manhattan) and Life Time 23rd Street.

In 2022, Life Time plans to open even more studios in New York City. Midtown, Park Avenue South, and One Wall Street are all set to become new locations to the resort-like clubs. A location in DUMBO is also planned to open in the near future.
