Tribeca ‘Vineyard’ at Pier 26

The Hudson River Park Trust has tapped restaurateur, Michael Dorf, founder and C.E.O. of City Winery in Tribeca, to run its eatery at Pier 26.

Dubbed the City Vineyard, the glass-enclosed restaurant will offer vistas of the Hudson River as well of the Manhattan skyline and will have indoor and outdoor dining space that includes a rooftop cafe. It is slated to open May 2016, according to the press release.

City Winery, which regularly attracts big musical names to the nabe, has three other locations nationwide in Chicago, Napa and Nashville. While those restaurants are focused on live music, Dorf said in the release the “vines will take center-stage” at City Vineyard, which will have an “aggressive and wine program.”

The Trust will be talking about the restaurant June 10 at Community Board 1’s Tribeca Committee.
