The New York Jets welcome the Carolina Panthers to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey for an early afternoon kickoff in Week 7. New York has had several close calls at victory in 2025, but the Jets returned stateside still seeking their first win after losing a 13-11 slugfest to the Denver Broncos in London, England last weekend. Carolina enters with three wins in their last four games, including consecutive wins against the Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys. Is this the week that Aaron Glenn charts the right course to a Jets victory, or will Carolina celebrate their first road win of the 2025 season?

Best Bet: Justin Fields Over 175+ Passing Yards
While Carolina features the third-best run-stopping unit this season, there could be opportunity for Fields to operate in the passing game against the Panthers’ 27th-ranked passing defense. QB Justin Fields will need to flush his forgettable Week 6 performance (9-of-17 completions for 45 yards against Denver) and return to the 200+ passing yard days he showcased earlier this season against Pittsburgh, Miami, and Dallas.

Fields Passing Yard Odds vs. Panthers in Week 7
125+ Passing Yards | -400 |
150+ Passing Yards | -192 |
175+ Passing Yards | +104 |
200+ Passing Yards | +198 |
225+ Passing Yards | +370 |

Field’s disappointing passing effort in Week 6 wasn’t entirely on the Jets QB. Denver’s defense features one of the best pass-stopping groups in the NFL, allowing 165.2 passing yards per game (Y/PG). Conversely, Week 7 brings a middle-of-the-pack Carolina’s passing defense allowing an average of 213 Y/PG. Look for Fields to get ample opportunity to throw the football, especially if the Panthers shut down Breece Hall and New York’s ground game. If he does, the Jets QB should have the opportunity to secure his fourth game above 175 passing yard game this season.
