For a second straight year, the New York Giants will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks. The acclaimed series will follow them and the rest of the NFC East for its in-season edition.
The Buffalo Bills will be the show’s focus during the preseason.
The Giants were HBO’s pick for an up-close look following the 2023 season, where general manager Joe Schoen, head coach Brian Daboll, and co-owner John Mara’s conversation about potentially letting Saquon Barkley walk in free agency to the Philadelphia Eagles was famously captured.
“I’m going to have a tough time sleeping if Saquon goes to Philadelphia,” Mara said, as he was dismissed by Schoen.
Barkley went on to rush for 2,000 yards to help lead the Eagles to their second-ever Super Bowl title.
“We are thrilled to provide ‘Hard Knocks’ fans a summer with the Bills and winter with the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders and Eagles in the first year of our exciting new deal with NFL Films,” a statement from Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, co-executive vice presidents HBO Documentary and Family Programming, and Bentley Weiner, senior vice president HBO Sports Documentaries, read. “There will be no shortage of star power.”
Hard Knocks will provide an in-depth look at Russell Wilson’s first steps as New York’s new starting quarterback, the debut of highly-touted rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter, the second season of record-setting wide receiver Malik Nabers, and the development of the potential quarterback of the future, Jaxson Dart.
The series will air in December.
