Every four years the calendar graces February with an extra day, adding Feb. 29. A Leap Day comes around once every four years, but a Leap Day on a Saturday occurs once every 28 years — the last time this happened it was 1992.

Many places in New York City are not letting the extra day go to waste this month. Check out some of these events that are taking place on Leap Day this year.
