Panorama music festival: Food vendors at the NYC event on Randall's Island

Food has become a major draw at music festivals. What good is Kendrick Lamar without a scoop of ice cream served in an Asian-style waffle topped with cereal and a fortune cookie?

Just like Governors Ball before it, Panorama, which runs from July 22 to 24, is featuring highly curated food options for the hungry masses.

Tickets are still available to the festival, but food will cost extra. Here are the highlights:

This swanky West Village restaurant and bar is cooking up luxurious burgers and thrice-cooked fries at Panorama. Choose the dry-aged-lamb burger, the 45-day dry-aged-beef burger or the Animal Style burger, pictured ($14), with heirloom tomatoes, American cheese and smoked thousand island-style dressing.

Talk about elevated festival food! The sister restaurants Contra and Wildair are coming together for the event and preparing two high-brow items that will surely draw lines: fried soft shell crab, pictured ($13), and a peach and burrata salad ($8).

Roberta's

Roberta's pizza isn't just a Bushwick thing anymore. The restaurant has a set of traveling wood-burning pizza ovens on wheels, and they make appearances at festivals all season long. Roberta's will be slinging Margherita and pepperoni pies, but we suggest a super popular, used-to-be-secret menu item -- the Bee Sting pie, with spicy soppressata, mozzarella, tomatoes, chili flakes and honey ($15).

Celebrity chef Marc Forgione will bring some specialties from his restaurant with LDV Hospitality to Panorama. Try a burger with beer cheese and bourbon ($14) or the "Rubin" pastrami sandwich, made funky with fermented slaw, pictured ($14).

Tacos and music seem like a good fit, don't they? You can dance and eat a taco at the same time. From the Black Ant + Temerario, try a fish taco, pictured ($5), or opt for shrimp, carnitas, pork belly or short ribs inside your tortillas instead.

French bistro and cafe Maman will be selling upscale items like avocado toast and matcha lattes (served in a pineapple!), but because it's summer we recommend going with the cookie dough ice cream sandwich, pictured ($6), a collaboration with McConnell's Ice Cream.

This South Williamsburg hotspot is serving up elevated comfort foods with a twist at Panorama. Try the fried chicken, pictured ($15), or the collaboration with Katz's Delicatessen, the pastrami Reuben po' boy ($12).

Dough basically owns the doughnut scene in NYC. While the original bakery is located on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn, you can find the creative flavors they're known for all over the city at coffee shops and at food and music festivals. If you feel overwhelmed by the choices at Panorama, Dough doughnuts ($3.50) are a sure thing.

For the healthful among us, opt for a bowl from Inday. The veggie option ($9), with various rices and vegetables, will keep your energy high so you can groove all day (and eat more later).
