New York City was buzzing with excitement as NFT NYC 2023 brought together a melting pot of the most innovative minds in the web3 space, with hundreds of speakers and thousands of creatives from around the world coming together for the yearly conference. Over three days, attendees took over various venues throughout the city, culminating in the main event at the iconic Javits Center on the Upper West Side.

Adding to the conference, the week was also filled with a plethora of community and brand-hosted events across the greater New York area, providing project holders, artists, musicians, and community members with valuable opportunities to connect and network in person.

One of the standout events was a free and inclusive celebration at Ainslie Bowery, a trendy restaurant, wine bar, underground club and beer garden in the Lower East Side. Ainslie Bowery offered a unique and modern atmosphere with two floors to accommodate the event. The lower club level featured elegant red velvet couches, a full bar, and a DJ setup, while the top floor had multiple rooms suitable for networking, including a beer garden, a sit-down dinner area, and a main bar with high-top seating.

The event, curated by web3 creators Musical Artist Tropix, Alex Corson, and Of The Art collective, aimed to create an experience for the web3 curious and the creator community in New York. “The issues that we saw for this year’s list of events was that many of them were either money-driven, token-gated or limited in capacity. With that in mind, we came up with the idea to curate a free event that would ultimately create the intersection of NFTs, traditional art, music, and New York culture” explained Tropix. This event was not done in direct partnership with any specific brands, but it aimed to provide a space for communities to connect and introduce those brands to the broader web3 and creator ecosystem.

The event was a success, with attendees excited to meet others and even more excited to catch a live DJ set by event founder, Tropix, an early adopter in captivating audiences with in-person shows for web3 communities and metaverse ecosystems since early 2021. The presence of influential NYC creators, including Rick McGuire, founder of the pages WhatIsNewYork & Subway Creatures, Mr. NYC Subway, MarcosWorldNYC, and AllDayNYC, further enhanced the dynamic and inclusive atmosphere, providing attendees with invaluable insights and expertise from these notable figures.

The presence of influential NYC creators and the seamless partnership with Ainslie Bowery added to the overall success of the event. “There really is no better space in New York that allows for everything you would want in a venue and provides the best possible experience for attendees. We can’t wait to do more of these partnerships in the future” said Alex Corson. As the world continues to shift towards a digital realm, we can expect to see more events like this, curated by creators and innovative thinkers who seek to bring together communities and provide unique one-of-a-kind activations and experiences.
