When Dudley, a 2-year-old pit bull mix, was found in a Bronx apartment he had bad knees and was locked in a cage without food or water. Six months later the energetic pup is ready for a loving home.
Dudley, and another Pomeranian, were first found on Dec. 20, 2015, after people complained to police about a bad odor coming from the Washington Avenue apartment in the Claremont Village area of the Bronx, police said. He was locked in a cage and the owner hadn’t been seen for two days.
Police rescued both dogs and finally located the owner, who had been admitted to a psychiatric ward of a Bronx hospital, police said. There were no arrests in the case.
