Over the weekend, Lower Eastside Girls Club members — including, from left, Destiny, Imani, Tynasia and Rene’e — ran a lemonade stand and bake sale in front of Earnest Sewn, a jeans store at 90 Orchard St. The stand featured products from Sweet Things Bake Shop, the Girls Club’s for-profit bakery, which provides the girls with entrepreneurial training and business skills development. Earnest Sewn matched all profits from lemonade sales to benefit the Girls Club’s programs.
